Our largest 24-hour hospital in the group is looking for a Senior RVN who thrives and excels in an internal referral environment and is looking to step up into a senior hospital role floating between the various hospital departments.About your new role!This full-time (40 hours per week) senior RVN position would be IDEAL for a highly experienced RVN who thrives in all departments within a hospital setting, and is ready to step into a senior role, supporting the various departments in the hospital including theatre, ward, consults and ECC.Do not be concerned if you feel you excel in one department as opposed to another, if there are any gaps in training, we will be happy to support you.

Leadership training is provided for all new senior colleagues, to help you adjust in your new role.

Wanstead not only has its own first opinion client base but also sees the internal referral cases from the surrounding branches in East, North and Central London, giving you a plethora of diverse cases a hospital RVN could dream of.

There is fantastic diagnostic support at Wanstead, with a CT scanner, a commercial laboratory, a strong medical team, and experienced surgeons routinely conducting advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery on site.You will be working alongside a large team consisting of approximately 25 vets, 27 RVNs, 14 SVNs, 7 VCAs and a large front of house team who are integral in maintaining excellent client care.Wanstead has an extensive onsite management structure including 2 deputy head nurses, head nurse, head vet and hospital manager, so you will have ample support around you while settling into your new position.Your 4-day week rota will include a 1:6 weekend rotation with TOIL and up to 3 bank holidays per year. Your role will involve covering departments when the relevant senior department colleagues are on annual leave, meaning your weeks will differ aiding in variety. You will be included in the last resort on-call rotation, but with 2 RVN’s and 1 VCA on shift each night this is very much last resort!Wanstead itself is on the outskirts of urban Essex but is close enough to rural life for that countryside relief. This established practice in South London is looking for a confident GP vet wishing to settle and make their mark.About your new role!Our new team member will be confident in day-to-day GP sole charge practice life, working alongside an RVN who we are currently recruiting for, and a fantastic trainee nurse who knows the practice inside-out.This is a 4-day week role and includes a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:10 hospital Sunday rotation, and 1 bank holiday per year.There are NO on-call requirements for this position.The Brixton practice is looking for a vet to settle in and re-establish a close-knit client base, performing first opinion consultations and routine surgeries. Location wise, Brixton is within 20 minutes of what I like to call the south-west sister triangle.
