VA133 – Head Veterinary Nurse – Mandeville

We are seeking an experienced Head Veterinary Nurse to join our team and support our vets and nursing colleagues in our state of the art Mandeville Veterinary Hospital in Northolt.  ​You will be working closely with the Hospital Manager and Head Vet to ensure the efficient management of the caseload and maintain the high standard of care we offer our clients and their pets.  The hospital has dedicated dog and cat waiting areas, separate dog, cat and isolation wards, a dental suite, two theatres, x-ray, imaging and CT.  We provide services from first opinion through to orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, enhanced imaging as well as ophthalmology services.  The successful candidate will have a range of nursing experience allowing them to develop our fantastic nursing team and be well organised and passionate about the standard of care we provide.  This is a full-time role with some on-call responsibilities on evenings and on a one in four weekends shared rota.  The salary for this role is £32,000 to £40,000 per annum.

The Head Veterinary Nurse role offers a fully supported opportunity to advance existing line management or senior nurse skills and would suit an experienced RVN with ECC experience and excellent clinical standards. The successful candidate will be capable of mature decision making, whilst working in an ever-changing environment and will share our philosophy of practising to the highest clinical standards and providing great client care. Previous hospital or referral centre and Clinical Coach experience would be ideal.

The role requires an exceptional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to motivate a large highly skilled team of RVNs, SVNs, VNAs and receptionists.  Line Management experience would be an advantage.

In this role you will deliver outstanding customer experience to all GVG clients. You will lead the team, by make sure they have the right tools to deliver consistent, exceptional customer service.

This new role is an exciting one and forms part of an expanding team of receptionists at Mandeville Veterinary Hospital.  This is an opportunity for a receptionist who has experience of leading a team to make a real difference to the quality of customer care in the practice. We are seeking an experienced Senior RVN to join our team and support our vets and nursing colleagues in our Fulham branch. We are positioned in a vibrant area of London, with great access to public transport and local amenities. This is a long established, busy practice, in a prestigious area of London. We look after lots of long-standing and loyal clients as well as attracting many new pet owners due to our strong local reputation. We are well known in the local community due to the standards of patient care that we offer. We understand the importance of the pet and owner bond in everything that we do.

Whilst ideally you would like to be with us on a full-time basis, we understand that every candidate is unique in what they are looking for in their career, so we are open to discuss less than full time opportunities.

What we can provide is a two-vet team for you to work alongside, supportive, and knowledgeable Nursing and support colleagues (who make also make great cakes!), with a stimulating environment to work in. We are seeking an RVN, to join our team and support our two vets in this small, friendly, practice in Highbury, North London which is an ISFM accredited Cat Friendly Clinic.  This role is an ideal next career step for an RVN looking to take on their first senior role (fully supported by CPD), looking after a small team, and coaching an experienced SVN, or for an existing Senior RVN looking for a new role with a good work-life balance.

We are positioned in an attractive area near Islington adjacent to Canonbury overground station.
