About your new role!

Our Hackney practice is one of our busiest in the group, and they work closely with our consult and minor ops clinic in Highbury to support them with their surgical cases. This busy and diverse “mini hub” has recently invested in new ultrasound facilities, to help support its expansive and varied caseload.

Our new vet will be no stranger to a fast-paced environment and will have ample opportunity to develop their own skills further. You will be involved in the daily caseload of consultations, surgeries and the triage of emergencies.

​The practice boasts two consulting rooms, a large prep and theatre area, separate cat and dog wards and a well utilised lab area. We continue to invest in clinical equipment to ensure we have the best equipment for patient care and have further exciting investment plans for our Hackney practice, so please do not hesitate to express what would be on your wish list!

​You will be working alongside another 2 vets, senior RVN, additional RVNs, students and trainee nurses. The team thrive on their unique dynamic for laughter and pulling together on those challenging days.

​As a branch veterinary surgeon, some of your duties will include:

– Carry out consultations, thoroughly examining all pets presented and making management and treatment recommendations which are based on best practice and are evidence-based and in accordance with GVG protocols. – Perform GP surgery on cases as appropriate and within boundaries of personal competence and limitation of overnight care. – Maintain, prescribe and dispense all medications in accordance with appropriate current medicines legislation and RCVS guidance.  – Record accurate and thorough clinical notes and ensure that pets’ histories are accurate comprehensive and useful to colleagues. – Be prepared to refer cases in a timely manner, in the first instance to a GVG Hospital, when there is an inability to undertake a case for whatever reason. – Help to maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment

​Hackney is supported by Wanstead 24-hour Veterinary Hospital, so you have the advantage of referring more advanced or emergency cases within only a short travelling distance for your clients for continuation of care.

​You will also be fully supported by a dedicated regional manager, and experienced regional head vet for any clinical advice or concerns.

This 30-40 hourly week role (we are currently exploring how the rota will look) includes a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:8 hospital Sunday rotation. You will be rota ‘d to up to 2 bank holidays per year in Wanstead and be involved in a last resort on-call rotation.

Location wise, you are just a 6-minute hop and skip away from London Fields Overground station, which takes you all over North and East London, with connections enabling you to reach further out.

In the heart of East London, home of Billingsgate fish market, E Pellicci’s cafe and the Columbia Road Flower Market sits our very popular Plaistow practice, and they are looking for a senior vet who thrives in a busy GP branch environment and wants to make their mark!

About your new role!

Our new team member will be no stranger to fast paced GP branch life, building rapport with clients their beloved animals. You will be working alongside an energetic team including a part-time vet, senior RVN, RVN, and enthusiastic trainee nurses.

This is a 4-day week role and includes a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:8 Wanstead Hospital Sunday rotation. You will be rota ‘d to 1 to 2 bank holidays per annum in Wanstead and be part of their last resort on-call rotation.

​Our Plaistow practice has supported the local community for years, providing invaluable diagnostic and surgical care, and being ISFM accredited they have a passion for feline welfare.

​Facilities on site include digital x-ray, dental x-ray and ultrasound. For anything more advanced the practice is supported by Wanstead 24-hour hour hospital, for internal referrals or OOH care and hospitalisation.

Mandeville Hospital in Northolt is our second largest in the group, and this beautifully modern well-established 24-hour site is looking for an RVN to join their progressive team. RVN positions do not come up often in Mandeville Hospital as they have a very established team, so if you want it…move quickly!

About your new role!

This role could suit an RVN or soon to qualify student who thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment, enjoys all areas of hospital nursing and prides themselves in providing the highest standard of patient care. It could also suit an RVN who has been used to a busy branch environment and wants to dip their toe into hospital life.

This is a full-time Monday to Friday position, including a 1:5 weekend rotation with TOIL and up to 2 bank holidays per year.

There are no on-call requirements for this position.

As a hospital RVN you will also help guide trainee nurses in their journey’s to becoming RVNs, and ensure the high clinical standards in consult, ward and theatre are being maintained, as well as being able to develop your own skills for future progression.

​As well as the large clinical team around you, and integral front of house team for client care support, you will be fully supported by the hospital’s nursing team, deputy head nurse, head nurse, head vet and hospital manager.

As a hospital RVN some of your duties will include:– Carry out acting weekend Charge Nurse duties, as directed.- Advise clients of post-operative discharge instructions, verbally and with print-outs and appropriate literature as directed. This lovely practice in West London has just had a role open for an RVN, on a full-time basis.About your new role!Situated in a popular family area in West London, the client base at Eastcote is established, due to many of them being bonded via our health care plan.You will be part of a settled team, including our lead vet who has been with Goddard Vet Group for over 12 years.Eastcote is also a training practice for our future RVN colleagues, and you will be instrumental in the guidance and support through-out their studies (which are provided via our own Training College). We have a gem of a role for a highly experienced and client focused call handler, to be the first port of call for our valued clients contacting our Client Support Centre on behalf of their beloved pets, on a part-time basis.

About your new role!

We have 49 sites across London including 3 hospitals, and with growing client numbers over the years our Client Support Centre was created to ease the load of communication for our sites and provide a more efficient service for our clients.

​Our Client Support Centre offers our clients an easier way to access vets and nurses’ services by telephone and video consultations.

​The support centre is situated in our main office in Woodford, where you will work onsite with a team of 12 colleagues plus clinical management for support, to assist in any medical queries you may receive.

As a Client Support Call Handler some of your duties will include:– Speaking to clients to triage unwell pets, liaising with our branches and book appointments appropriately.- Dealing with enquiries and appointment requests through our online chat system.- Promote products and services such as microchipping, diets, ProActive Pets and insurance to clients, making recommendations for suitable products and services offered by the Group according to client/patient need identified during call handling.- Schedule the proactive calling of clients whose pets vaccination status has lapsed, encouraging uptake of a new course of vaccinations.- Issue invoices to clients as necessary.- Enter and maintain accurate pet and client details onto internal computer system that enables the practice to contact and communicate reliably with clients.- Record details in clinical histories of any conversations with clients regarding treatment options or anything related to patient care.- Receive and communicate to practice colleagues in a timely manner, messages regarding matters that cannot be attended to by the call handling team, including but not limited to requests for repeat prescriptions, food orders, and telephone call backs.
