You will be working with a small, dedicated team and would report directly to our Director of Personnel and Development. This recruitment role will require regular travel to our practices around Greater London and will be based at our Head Office situated on the London/Essex border. Some remote working may be considered.

– Experience on an applicant tracking system and managing a talent pool

Knowledge of the Veterinary Sector would be helpful but not a pre-requisite.

The role would involve amongst others the following key areas of responsibility:

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

– Responsible for recruiting permanent, temporary and locum appointments
– Line manage the Locum Coordinator Team
– Build and strengthen relationships with Hiring Managers
– Work within the dynamic P&D department and alongside our vibrant and energetic management team
– Ensure colleagues are able to explore career progression opportunities
– Use the Job Evaluation framework and salary banding to recruit successfully
– Provide benchmark salary bands
– Attend careers fairs and trade shows to promote GVG as an employer of choice
– In conjunction with the P&D team develop and maintain a resourcing plan for the company including where new talent will be required and what career development programmes can be utilised
– Maximise the use of direct channels i.e., on-line resources, LinkedIn, Company Website, job-board databases
– Enjoy the opportunity for recruiting for an established and highly regarded and fast growing organisation

Financial Management/Reports

– Support the Directors, Regional Managers and Hospital Managers with their respective Recruitment budgets
 Provide reporting to the Directors/leadership team on spend against projections
– Provide reports on recruitment activities including status of turn-around time (TAT) from vacancy approval to hire/start date

The salary for our Recruitment Manager role is in the region of £45 – £60k, depending on experience. VA150 – Veterinary Surgeon – Ickenham

Set in a village location, our Ickenham branch has been caring for pets and their owners in the local community for many decades. Small and perfectly formed, the practice has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, a dedicated, longstanding team, and loyal clients. We are seeking a Veterinary Nursing Assistant to join our team and support our vets and nursing colleagues in our Wanstead Veterinary Hospital on night shifts . We are seeking a confident RVN to lead a small (yet expanding), very organised team. Our Putney practice is in a vibrant area with a London ‘village’ atmosphere, just a short walk from the River Thames, Putney High Street, and Putney Station.  You will be working alongside an experienced and compassionate team who have a passion for building strong bonds with their loyal client base.

Training and career progression is important to us, so we are looking for someone happy to be a clinical coach to support junior team members in their development whilst being able to develop your own skillset at the same time. Full training will be provided if you have no prior coaching experience.

The role is full time at 35-40 hours a week with a Saturday rota of 1 in 4; no nights or on call, as this is provided by our Stone Lion Hospital, where you will also have an opportunity to spend a Sunday 5 times a year.
