Weekend Veterinary Nursing Assistant – Wanstead Veterinary Hospital, East London

We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Nursing Assistant to join us working weekends at our first-opinion and multidisciplinary referral small animal hospital in East London. This is a permanent position working every Saturday and Sunday (16hrs per week) covering a variety of shifts between 7am-9pm. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of a similar role within the veterinary industry and demonstrate a passion for animal care and the ability to work well within a team. There is the potential for VNA training with this role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our team of Registered Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Surgeons, providing an excellent standard of patient care, and maintaining an exceptionally high level of cleanliness. Margaret is a brilliant feline advocate and was awarded the Distance Learning Award for best result achieved in her Feline Nursing Diploma. The role is ideally full-time 40 hours with some Saturdays (afternoons only) but we are also happy to discuss part-time or flexible working.

We would love to find someone, who enjoys all aspects of the nursing role from supporting our vets in surgery to running your own nurse consultations with future potential to explore areas of personal interest through CPD. VNA (Mat Cover) – Edgware, Greater London

A new opportunity has arisen for a part-time maternity cover Veterinary Nursing Assistant at our Edgware practice. There is a well-established and friendly team, and the practice is very much part of the local community. The branch is situated opposite both the attractive Canons Park and Canons Park tube station. This position is for 30 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday. There are no Saturdays required.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate previous excellent and relevant client care experience. The role involves a high level of contact directly communicating with our clients via in-person visits, e-mail, phone, and virtually and we will be looking for enthusiasm, self-confidence, empathy, and listening skills in an applicant to provide the standard of care and the personal touch we expect for our valued clients.

This is a hands-on role in a busy branch so the ideal candidate will be a pivotal part of an established team, and you will often be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. The role also requires completion of administrative tasks and record-keeping which require an organised, methodical approach and where accuracy is important.

Vet Surgeon – Chessington, Greater London

Veterinary role at our friendly, supportive practice in Surrey, that has been part of the local community for over 30 years. Our Chessington clinic is a small branch but part- of a network of clinics locally and is a great opportunity to run your own clinic, to make it your own with the support of an experienced team. All routine procedures can be done at Chessington, and we are very supportive of the local charities. More complex cases can be worked up by you at our multi- vet practice in Ewell with a brand-new ultrasound, tonopen and dental x-ray.

There is flexibility in the role, and it could be between 3 ½ – 4 ½ days a week with some Saturdays. There is no night work or on-call.  We would also love you to be part of our daytime only, Sunday rota, just 5 times a year at our Hospital in Wimbledon.

Part-time Medic/ECC Veterinary Surgeon – Wanstead Hospital East London/ Essex

Exciting times — be part of the change! We are expanding and have created a new role to support our amazing team of hospital vets. The role is 30 hours a week and would be perfect for someone with an interest in both ECC and medicine and who would like more free time outside work. We are ideally looking for 2 vets, to work 3 days a week, but we are very happy to talk to vets who would be interested in this type of role to develop a rota that works for you. The role could also be combined with extra shifts to create a full-time position. Our ideal shift pattern is 12pm- 10pm, so you will work with both our day and dedicated night team (who start at 8pm) and you will be responsible for seeing all the emergency cases booked in on that day. There is some flexibility around the start time, and we would be happy to discuss this. The hospital sees an incredibly interesting and varied caseload, no day is the same, it’s a great environment to learn from our talented team of certificate holders and specialists.

The rota we’re proposing is for two vets, but we are happy to discuss other options:
