I took my cat to Goddards for the first time yesterday for her annual vaccination, check-up, nail clip etc after attending another vet practice for the last 7 years - I arrived early & although I could not be admitted for COVID reasons until my actual appointment time, they did take my cat inside. When I was admitted to the room, I was blown away to see my cat relaxed in her open cat carrier, purring and responding nicely to the vet Luke and nurse Nicola - normally she is completely unsettled and a nightmare to get on the table etc. I made a joke about needing leather gloves to clip her nails, and they informed me they had already done that, with no problems and no shedding of (human) blood which is usually the case!! I couldn't believe my demon cat was being so well behaved! She was completely relaxed and happy, which was a credit to the team there. I will certainly be attending this practice again in the future, they really knew how to look after my cat.

I only used this practice because they advertised free puppy health checks for 6 months. 12 years later - with my senior "puppy" - here I still am! The nurses and staff are so friendly and knowledgeable and the vet, Richard, is second to none. He knows that my pet is elderly now and recommends things to help his quality of life - recommending things that can be got cheaper off the internet and not necessarily paying higher vet prescription fees. It's not all about making money.
