Welcome to Wanstead Veterinary Hospital. Our largest 24-hour veterinary hospital within the group is looking for a highly experienced manager to take the helm and lead the large clinical and administrative team.About your new role!This is a full-time on-site Monday to Friday position with occasional management on-call requirements at weekends to assist in urgent management phone queries. *You are not required to attend the hospital for on-call*You will work closely with our long-established head vet who has been in Wanstead for over 10 years, as well as multiple senior colleagues including head nurse, deputy nurses, senior colleagues and hospital administrators.Our hospital team consists of approximately 24 vets, 30 RVNs, 14 SVNs, 7 VCAs and a large front of house team who are integral in maintaining excellent client care.This role will require strong leadership expertise, ongoing enthusiasm for the veterinary industry and excellent communication skills, to be able to navigate the ever changing and complex world of veterinary management, within a large hospital setting.Our new colleague will ideally have extensive prior experience in veterinary leadership, managing large multidisciplinary teams involving a breadth of responsibilities, and thrives in a leadership role.Accountabilities include but are not limited to:-Maintaining an atmosphere of team collaboration and mutual respect-Playing a key role in the operational and financial success of the hospital-Overseeing the general practice management including stock control, rotas, holiday and absence management-Oversee the reception team to ensure the hospital are providing exceptional client service as well as debt management, and complaint management-Support in recruitment for hospital positions, and liaising with HR where applicable-Must be able to demonstrate multi-tasking and problem solving skills at a fast pace

About the roleIn the heart of Walthamstow Village is this hugely popular first opinion practice, that also has a very high dental caseload for any vets with a penchant for all things teeth!

The clinic has undergone a refurbishment in recent years and has all the equipment you could need.

The rota involves a Monday and Tuesday working week, plus 1:4 branch Saturdays,1:8 hospital Sundays and up to 2 bank holidays per year. If you are looking for a 4-day week we can accommodate an additional 2 days in either West Ham, South Woodford or Tottenham, where you will continue to be supported in your role.

We are looking for a future colleague who enjoys working in a busier GP environment and is comfortable with routine surgery and dentals due to the high caseload at Walthamstow, while having ample support from senior and experienced vets within the teams.

About the role

Harrow is your perfect well-managed urban practice, situated on a bustling high-street in northwest London.

Harrow is small but perfectly formed allowing the team to crack on with day-to-day consults and routine surgeries. It is fully equipped with everything you would need for a first opinion practice, including dental x-ray and multi-parameter.

This is a full-time 4-day week role, and your 40 hours are inclusive of a 1:3 branch Saturday and 1:8 hospital Sunday rotation.

You will be fully supported by an incredible nursing team, dedicated regional manager, and regional head vet to help you with any areas of clinical support you may need.
