About your new role!

Tottenham’s charm is aided by its incredible support team, including an amazing senior nurse who trained at Tottenham so knows the practice inside out, and established student and trainee nurses who are incredibly passionate in their training positions.

​This a sole charge position that has a perfectly manageable caseload for a confident GP first opinion vet to step into. You will be able to comfortably balance your morning consultations, perform routine surgeries during the day, catch up on admin and then round up with evening consults.

This role involves a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday (with an early finish on the Thursday) plus a 1:4 branch Saturday morning and 1:8 Hospital Sunday rotation. You will be rota ‘d to up to 2 bank holidays per year in Wanstead Hospital and be included in the last resort on-call rotation…which is very rarely used as it is for emergencies only!

As a sole charge branch vet some of your duties will include:– Carry out consultations, thoroughly examining all pets presented and making management and treatment recommendations which are based on best practice and are evidence-based and in accordance with GVG protocols. – Perform surgery on cases as appropriate and within boundaries of personal competence and limitation of overnight care. – Maintain, prescribe and dispense all medications in accordance with appropriate current medicines legislation and RCVS guidance.  – Record accurate and thorough clinical notes and ensure that pets’ histories are accurate comprehensive and useful to colleagues. – Be prepared to refer cases in a timely manner, in the first instance to a GVG Hospital, when there is an inability to undertake a case for whatever reason. – Help to maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment – Work alongside your RVN to ensure branch meetings are scheduled and the clinics SOP’s are being actioned- Oversee the consulting and surgical/diagnostic diary in compliance with company policies.You will be fully supported by our highly experienced regional manager and regional head vet, whose support is invaluable to the region both operationally and clincially.

​You will also be supported by our Wanstead 24-hour hospital to refer more complex cases, and their own rotating night team provides your patients with invaluable OOH care.

​Caseload at Tottenham is high, with a bonded client base so we need either an experienced vet to take the reins of this popular North London branch, or a vet chomping at the bit for a new challenge!

Leadership training will be provided if this is your first sole charge position.

​The practice itself is perfectly situated if you want to travel into the hustle and bustle of central London, being just a 5-minute walk from Bruce Grove station that takes you straight into London Liverpool Street, or a 20-minute walk from Tottenham Hale station.

​If however you may want to get away from the city, Tottenham is within easy reach of Epping Forest, and popular Essex village’s and towns with an array of pubs and restaurants.

About your new role!

​Our Kingston practice situated in a beautiful period building is looking for a vet to join and take the reins of this established GP practice, complete with dental and digital x-ray, as well as a brand new lab suite for initial on-site diagnostics. The practice itself has a huge consult room with large windows looking out to the garden (complete with a family of foxes), and also has a large separate colleague area, again with natural light flooding through.

​You will be fully supported by an experienced RVN and passionate trainee nurse, as well as your regional manager who is integral in the running of the region and there for additional support.

The caseload is perfectly manageable for a GP first opinion vet to step into this sole charge role. You will be able to comfortably balance your morning consultations, perform routine surgeries during the day, catch up on admin and then round up with evening consults. You will also have the support of a highly experienced regional head vet for any clinical queries or concerns you may have.

Kingston has a very bonded and respected client base, a large number of them have been returning since the 90’s!

​Kingston is also supported by Stone Lion 24-hour hospital in Wimbledon, for more complex cases, or OOH care your patients may need.

About your new role!

​Tottenham’s popularity is increasing by the day, creating the need for an additional RVN to help support their existing team including senior RVN, trainee nurse colleagues and senior vet.

​You will not be bored at Tottenham with its busy caseload and large client base, and the practice has a great reputation within the group of having an amazing team dynamic and rallying together on those more challenging days, but don’t take my word for it:

This position is full-time Monday to Friday and includes a 1:4 Saturday morning and 1:10 Sunday rotation at Wanstead Hospital, plus 1 bank holiday per year. There are NO on-call requirements for this position.

As a branch RVN some of your duties will include:

Welcome to Shenfield! This impressive first opinion practice in the heart of popular Brentwood in Essex is looking for an additional vet to join their already experienced clinical team, on a part-time basis. This 3 day week role also provides some variety, with one day per week working in our incredibly popular Gidea Park practice.

About your new role!

Shenfield and Gidea Park are very popular sites, and therefore they have a great caseload for surgical and medical cases. Due to the nature of the caseload we are looking for a vet who is confident in all routine GP surgery.

​As well as everything you would expect in a busy first opinion practice, Shenfield also has ultrasound and K-Laser facilities.

​You will be surrounded by a highly experienced team with multiple RVN’s and support colleagues, and a part-time senior vet at Shenfield. You will also be supported by a dedicated regional manager whose support is invaluable to her branches in the region, and a regional head vet for any clinical queries you may have, as John has a wealth of knowledge to pass on!

To join our existing teams, we are looking for an additional vet in Shenfield on Tuesdays and Fridays, and Wednesdays in Gidea Park, giving you every Monday and Thursday off. The role includes a 1:4 Saturday rotation at Gidea Park, and a 1:8 Wanstead Hospital Sunday rotation plus 1-2 bank holidays per year and being included in the last resort on-call rotation.

South of the river sandwiched between Battersea and Clapham is our Westside practice, who are looking for a senior RVN to step in and help lead this established team on a full-time basis, in a beautiful area of London.

About your new role!

You will not be short of support at Westside; with 3 vets, 2 RVNs, trainee nurses and reception colleagues, the team is able to provide exemplary service to their patients and clients daily.

This senior position is full-time (40 hours per week) Monday to Friday and includes a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:10 Saturday rotation at the Stone Lion Hospital, plus 1 bank holiday per year at Stone Lion. There are NO on-call requirements.

​You will have the full support from a dedicated regional manager, and OOH care is provided by our Stone Lion 24-hour hospital just a 20-minute drive away.The Westside practice itself has ample facilities to enable the team to perform plenty of GP diagnostic and surgical procedures onsite, including an imaging suite, and blood diagnosis suite.

As a senior branch RVN some of your duties will include:– Responsible for the nursing team, ensuring the provision of a high quality and continually improving standards of nursing care. – Assist the veterinary surgeon in theatre and during consultations, as and when required. – Ensure the provision of a high quality and continually improving standard of nursing care, comfort and welfare of all pets in our care. – Utilise Schedule 3 skills, as directed. – Ensure all diagnostic, surgical and medical equipment and instruments are serviced as required, maintained well and in full working order. – Ensure that a weekly audit of Controlled Drugs is carried out in accordance with the prescribed protocol. – Responsible for staff working on reception, ensuring a high and improving standard of client care by means of excellent communication and service at all times. – Manage the daily operation of the reception area and ensure the friendly and efficient handling of clients and their pets, in person, by email and over the telephone. – Support student nurses as a clinical supervisorLeadership training is provided for new senior colleagues to assist your transition into a senior position.In terms of location the practice is situated in one of London’s most desirable areas, you have Clapham Common with its lush green space which is a mere 5-minute walk away, and Battersea Power Station which has a plethora of shopping and restaurant options is a 15-minute drive or 30-minute train journey away.
