VA483 – Veterinary Hospital Manager

Welcome to Wanstead Veterinary Hospital. Our largest 24-hour veterinary hospital within the group is looking for a highly experienced manager to take the helm and lead the large clinical and administrative team.About your new role!This is a full-time on-site Monday to Friday position with occasional management on-call requirements at weekends to assist in urgent management phone queries. *You are not required to attend the hospital for on-call*You will work closely with our long-established head vet who has been in Wanstead for over 10 years, as well as multiple senior colleagues including head nurse, deputy nurses, senior colleagues and hospital administrators.Our hospital team consists of approximately 24 vets, 30 RVNs, 14 SVNs, 7 VCAs and a large front of house team who are integral in maintaining excellent client care.This role will require strong leadership expertise, ongoing enthusiasm for the veterinary industry and excellent communication skills, to be able to navigate the ever changing and complex world of veterinary management, within a large hospital setting.Our new colleague will ideally have extensive prior experience in veterinary leadership, managing large multidisciplinary teams involving a breadth of responsibilities, and thrives in a leadership role.Accountabilities include but are not limited to:-Maintaining an atmosphere of team collaboration and mutual respect-Playing a key role in the operational and financial success of the hospital-Overseeing the general practice management including stock control, rotas, holiday and absence management-Oversee the reception team to ensure the hospital are providing exceptional client service as well as debt management, and complaint management-Support in recruitment for hospital positions, and liaising with HR where applicable-Must be able to demonstrate multi-tasking and problem solving skills at a fast pace

There is fantastic diagnostic support at Wanstead, including a CT scanner, a commercial laboratory, a strong medical team, and experienced surgeons routinely conducting advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery all available on site. Wanstead provides the exemplary care for the surrounding clinics in the nearby regions for more complex cases and has its own rotating night team to provide integral OOH support.Now let’s get into the nitty gritty:The salary band for this position is £55,000 to £65,000 depending on prior experience.A little snippet of our fantastic benefits package:– 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays- Private Medical Insurance- Paid lunch breaks- Medical cashback plan. VA466 – Veterinary Surgeon

Welcome to Walthamstow! This growing practice in a trendy area of East London is looking for an additional vet 2 days per week.Before we delve into the nitty gritty, here is what we offer you:The salary band for this position inclusive of weekend rotation is £45,000 to £61,000 full-time equivalent and would be pro rata ‘d down to your working hours.

About the roleIn the heart of Walthamstow Village is this hugely popular first opinion practice, that also has a very high dental caseload for any vets with a penchant for all things teeth!

The clinic has undergone a refurbishment in recent years and has all the equipment you could need.

The rota involves a Monday and Tuesday working week, plus 1:4 branch Saturdays,1:8 hospital Sundays and up to 2 bank holidays per year. If you are looking for a 4-day week we can accommodate an additional 2 days in either West Ham, South Woodford or Tottenham, where you will continue to be supported in your role.

We are looking for a future colleague who enjoys working in a busier GP environment and is comfortable with routine surgery and dentals due to the high caseload at Walthamstow, while having ample support from senior and experienced vets within the teams.

You will be fully supported by a full-time senior vet, senior RVN, incredibly passionate trainee nurses and a regional manager whose support is invaluable to her region.

Walthamstow is also fully supported by Wanstead Veterinary Hospital for more complex cases and OOH. It has extensive 24 -hr facilities including CT, an excellent ultrasound, scopes, laparoscopic equipment, and an array of specialists and provides a good environment to develop your ECC skills.The practice itself is situated in an ideal location if you want to base yourself in a village/high street environment but want easy access into the hustle and bustle. It’s just a 15-minute walk from Walthamstow Central station, taking you straight into Oxford Circus in just 20 minutes.

VA482 – Veterinary Surgeon

Welcome to Harrow! Our fabulous vet will be starting her parenting adventure this September, and we are looking for a competent sole charge GP vet to step in her shoes and keep our popular Harrow practice running while she is away.Before we delve into the nitty gritty, here is what we offer you:

The salary band for this full-time fixed 12-month position commencing in September is £60,000 to £75,000 depending on prior experience.

There is local accommodation available if required.

About the role

Harrow is your perfect well-managed urban practice, situated on a bustling high-street in northwest London.

Harrow is small but perfectly formed allowing the team to crack on with day-to-day consults and routine surgeries. It is fully equipped with everything you would need for a first opinion practice, including dental x-ray and multi-parameter.

This is a full-time 4-day week role, and your 40 hours are inclusive of a 1:3 branch Saturday and 1:8 hospital Sunday rotation.

You will be fully supported by an incredible nursing team, dedicated regional manager, and regional head vet to help you with any areas of clinical support you may need.

Goddard Mandeville Veterinary Hospital in Northolt provides Harrow with its OOH care and support with any complex cases you may need to refer.

There is state of the art diagnostic support at the hospital with a new CT scanner, a diploma holder in imaging providing our CT and ultrasound service, a strong medical team, and experienced surgeons routinely conducting advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery all available on site.

You will be part of a settled team, including our lead vet who has been with Goddard Vet Group for over 12 years.

Eastcote is also a training practice for our future RVN colleagues, and you will be instrumental in the guidance and support through-out their studies (which are provided via our own Training College).

This role is 40 hours per week, inclusive of a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:10 Sunday rotation at the nearby Mandeville Hospital in Northolt, where you will also be rota ‘d to 1 bank holiday per year.

There are no on-call requirements for this position.

OOH and emergency care is provided by Mandeville Hospital, which is only 3 miles away, and has state of the art facilities including CT to ensure your patients are given the best care possible when away from their home practice.

The environment in which you work in is incredibly important for day-to-day life. Eastcote has an incredibly warm and sunny environment, due to being flooded with natural light, and comes complete with a large consulting room, theatre, kennel area and lab room.

The practice is walking distance from Eastcote tube station which is on the Piccadilly and Metropolitan lines and within walking distance of the local shops for those midday pick me ups!
