One of our fabulous night vets will be starting their parenting journey in the new year, and we are looking for a competent ECC vet to take the reins on nights for a fixed 12-month period, in our Stone Lion Hospital in Wimbledon.About your new role!Stone Lion Veterinary Hospital offers a well-rounded caseload of routine procedures, emergency, and critical care, as it not only has its own first opinion client base, but also supports the surrounding Goddard practices for internal referral cases that require hospital expertise.The hospital also provides specialist work with an orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeon, cardiologist, and physiotherapist, giving you peace of mind knowing you can refer any admitted night patients that may require more specialist treatment to your in-house day team.Our new night colleague will be no stranger to sole charge night shifts, having ideally worked in the ECC environment before and is confident in managing ward cases and emergency surgeries that may arise during the night. Along with your RVN, you will provide exemplary care to your patients when admitted for their hospital sleepovers.You will work alongside an experienced on-site registered veterinary nurse for your waking night shifts and will have support from the clinical management team if you needed to contact during the day for any queries.Stone Lion is located in the heart of picturesque Wimbledon Village, just a 10-minute walk from Wimbledon Junction station which is on the district line and enables you to get to all the hot spots of London!

We are looking for a multi-faceted colleague to join our maintenance team, supporting our veterinary practice’s in the Southwest London/Surrey region on a 3-day week basis.

About your new role!Our maintenance team play an integral part in the running of our practices and are responsible for all aspects of keeping our premises upheld to the highest standards and safety.- General maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our veterinary practices, internally and externally.- Detecting and reporting any defects or damage.- Completing all tasks as delegated in a timely manner.- Complying with the industry standards and safety regulations of working.- To always observe the company’s health and safety policy on site and report any concerns.- To liaise with external Contractors.– Hours of work are 7.30am to 3.30pm 3 days a week between Monday to Friday (24hours) – occasional overtime may be required to finish a job.

Welcome to Wanstead Veterinary Hospital! Our largest 24-hour hospital in the group is looking for an RVN who thrives and excels in the theatre environment, and is looking to step into an orthopaedic nurse role.About your new role!This full-time (40 hours per week) RVN position would be IDEAL for an RVN who thrives in theatre, particularly when assisting in orthopaedic surgeries.Your rota will include an average of 1:4 weekends with TOIL and up to 3 bank holidays per year, plus a last resort on-call rotation. You will be rota ‘d to the same shifts as our orthopaedic surgeon, to aid an efficient and streamlined patient journey. When our surgeon is not operating, you will help support other areas of theatre.This role would suit an RVN who has always felt the theatre was their comfort zone, and orthopaedics are an area of interest and expertise.

Welcome to Wanstead, this 24-hour internal referral hospital is our largest in the group and is looking for a one-of-a-kind individual that can take the reins as Head Nurse and really make this role their own.​​About your new role! ​​​This is a key role within the hospital leadership team, and together with the hospital manager, and head vet you will play an integral part in delivering operational excellence, outstanding patient care and invaluable support to its large team of nurses, across all experience levels.​​​This role would suit an RVN with extensive experience in delivering high standards within a referral centre or busy hospital environment and is already either in a head nurse position or is highly experienced with a natural flare in leadership and is now looking for an official management position.​​​Working with two Deputy Head Nurses and a team of five senior nurses, you will provide clinical and people leadership to our RVN, SVN and VCA team across all departments in the hospital.​Leadership training will be provided.

​​​Your accountabilities will include and are not limited to: ​​-Scheduling Nursing and VCA team meetings.​ -Setting and maintaining clinical standards of care in collaboration with other departmental heads and seniors.​​-Overseeing the provision of in-house training (delivered by vets and nurses) to further colleagues’ knowledge and clinical skills.​​-Working clinical shifts in the various RVN roles in the hospital such as wards, theatre, charge nurse duties etc.​​-Recruitment and induction of new RVNs, SVNs and VCAs (admin support is provided).​​-Managing the nurse rota in conjunction with the hospital manager and hospital administrator.​​-Ensuring staff with additional responsibilities are performing these to the expected standard, and if needed, exploring what support/training is required to achieve this.​​-Working with the hospital manager, head vet and deputy head nurses to explore how to develop a smoother and more efficient patient journey from reception through the hospital.​​-Delivering nurse and VCA performance reviews and maintain a smooth structure for reporting lines.-Managing colleague TOIL and overtime appropriately.​-Manage on-day nurse sickness and resource planning.​​​We are looking for an RVN that can bring fresh ideas into reshaping the head nurse role and is excited to explore how this can be delivered. Currently, this is likely to be a 75% administrative and management role with 25% clinical duties, however, as we know in veterinary this can change either way dependant on the need of the hospital.
