We are looking for a multi-faceted colleague to join our maintenance team, supporting our veterinary practice’s in the West London region including Harrow, Wembley, Northolt, Edgware, Chalfont St Peter and more, on a full-time Monday to Friday basis.

​About your new role!

​Our maintenance team play an integral part in the running of our practices and are responsible for all aspects of keeping our premises upheld to the highest standards and safety.- General maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our veterinary practices, internally and externally.- Detecting and reporting any defects or damage.- Completing all tasks as delegated in a timely manner.- Complying with the industry standards and safety regulations of working.- To always observe the company’s health and safety policy on site and report any concerns.- To liaise with external Contractors.- Hours of work are 7.30am to 3.30pm 5 days a week Monday to Friday, and occasional overtime may be required to finish a job.

​Who we are looking for– Clean driving licence is essential (vehicle will be provided)- Multi-skilled maintenance person.  – Experience in general carpentry, plastering, painting & decorating.- Must hold at least one trade skill qualification.- Plumbing experience would be an advantage, but not essential.- Experience installing kitchens and bathrooms is preferred.- Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.- Should be a good team worker and have the ability to coordinate work with fellow workers.- Must possess excellent communication skills- Being an animal lover would help!

We are looking for an integral piece of our veterinary team puzzle, in the shape of a float veterinary nursing assistant supporting our various teams in the South London and Surrey region.

​About your new role!

​

Our float veterinary nursing assistant role is an ideal position for someone who has extensive prior experience within the veterinary industry and may not be in the position to commit to the Diploma training right now.

​

Being a float position you will help support the various branches within the south London and Surrey area where the needs of the rota dictate, this could be covering holiday, days off or sick leave etc.

​

The VNA role is 40 hours per week and includes a regular Saturday rotation. Prior animal care and client care experience is preferred due to the integral support you would be providing to the teams. If you can demonstrate a passion for teamwork, and providing the highest standard of patient and client care you will flourish.

​

The role is varied, involving and high level of client care which includes reception duties, the cleaning and upkeep of the practice and its equipment/facilities, general administrative duties including processing of insurance claims, and of course the hands-on patient care.

​

This is a challenging industry and profession but hugely rewarding if you are able to give it your full passion and dedication.

If in the future you did wish to pursue with your veterinary nurse training, this would be dependent on diploma vacancies within the region, and qualification criteria.

Our new team member will be confident in day-to-day GP sole charge practice life, working alongside a fantastic support team including an experienced RVN, and two student nurses.

We are looking for a vet who is no stranger to rolling out the red carpet to their clients and their adored furry or feathered family members!

We have a full lab suite, two consulting rooms, a large prep and theatre area and a colleague rest area for those important lunch breaks. We have invested in the branch recently to provide even better facilities for the team.

Your rota will consist of a 4-day week with Fridays off, and will include a 1:4 branch Saturday, and 1:10 Hospital Sunday rotation in our Stone Lion Hospital in Wimbledon. You will be rota’ d to 1 bank holiday per year. There are NO on-call requirements.

​

You will be fully supported by our 24-hour Stone Lion Hospital in Wimbledon for any complex cases you may need to refer, or for any of your patients who require OOH care.

​

You will also have the support of our Regional Head Vet Julie, who’s clinical support for new colleagues is invaluable.

​

The practice location is ideal, within a 7-minute walk from Fulham Broadway station which is on the District Line, and takes you as far west as Ealing, through East London and over to Essex.

As a sole charge branch vet, leadership training will also be provided, and you will work closely with your RVN to ensure the practice is running as smoothly as possible (though we know there are “those days”!)
