One of our fabulous night vets will be starting their parenting journey in the new year, and we are looking for a competent ECC vet to take the reins on nights for a fixed 12-month period, in our Stone Lion Hospital in Wimbledon.About your new role!Stone Lion Veterinary Hospital offers a well-rounded caseload of routine procedures, emergency, and critical care, as it not only has its own first opinion client base, but also supports the surrounding Goddard practices for internal referral cases that require hospital expertise.The hospital also provides specialist work with an orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeon, cardiologist, and physiotherapist, giving you peace of mind knowing you can refer any admitted night patients that may require more specialist treatment to your in-house day team.Our new night colleague will be no stranger to sole charge night shifts, having ideally worked in the ECC environment before and is confident in managing ward cases and emergency surgeries that may arise during the night. Our largest 24-hour hospital in the group is looking for an RVN who thrives and excels in the theatre environment, and is looking to step into an orthopaedic nurse role.About your new role!This full-time (40 hours per week) RVN position would be IDEAL for an RVN who thrives in theatre, particularly when assisting in orthopaedic surgeries.Your rota will include an average of 1:4 weekends with TOIL and up to 3 bank holidays per year, plus a last resort on-call rotation. You will be rota ‘d to the same shifts as our orthopaedic surgeon, to aid an efficient and streamlined patient journey. When our surgeon is not operating, you will help support other areas of theatre.This role would suit an RVN who has always felt the theatre was their comfort zone, and orthopaedics are an area of interest and expertise.
