CPD

You will have up to £2,000 annually available for CPD and up to five paid days leave every year for attending courses.

Certificate courses are encouraged.

For all CPD involving travel in the UK, we will reimburse reasonably priced accommodation and fares.

Private Medical Insurance

We want our vets to be able to receive eligible private medical treatment quickly and with the minimum of disruption to day-to-day routines. Our Bupa private medical health plan offers peace of mind allowing you to avoid NHS queues. The cover is for individuals but vets will be able to register their families at discounted rates.

Membership Allowance Scheme

We are keen that our vets interact as much as possible with colleagues across the profession and have access to online CPD and educational journals.

We recognise the value of membership of key organisations such as BSAVA, BVA and SPVS and £350 is available annually for their subscriptions.

Our vets are covered by the practices membership of the Veterinary Defence Society (VDS) for claims involving allegations of negligence.

Medical Cash Back Plan

Our vets can be reimbursed, up to policy limits, for day-to-day health treatments. Cash sums are paid to help with the cost of personal health needs involving consultations, diagnostic tests, prescription costs, dental treatments, optical costs, physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic and chiropody.

Increasing Holiday Entitlement

Holiday entitlement rises to five weeks after two years and to six weeks after four years.

RVNs, SVNs and other support staff

CPD

We host an attractive schedule of internally organised evenings of CPD. Additionally, RVNs and SVNs are permitted up to two paid days leave annually to attend external courses.

Support staff have no professional obligations to CPD attendance but we recognise its importance and paid leave is offered to anyone looking to maintain or improve their knowledge and skills.
