About your new role!
One of our fabulous RVN’s is off on their travels, and this has created a position for an RVN who loves the pace of a hospital, but the environment of a branch.
Our Hackney practice is one of our busiest in the group, and we now work closely with our consult only clinic in Highbury to support them with their advanced surgical cases. This busy and diverse "mini hub" is continuously looking at further investment to help support its expansive and varied caseload, and now has a new ultrasound machine.
The practice boasts two consulting rooms, a large prep and theatre area, separate cat and dog wards and a well utilised lab area.
If looking for part-time, this role could be ideal for an RVN who is looking to move away from full-time locum work giving you the opportunity to take advantage of permanent benefits and stability. It may also provide free time to indulge in hobbies or volunteering or supporting other practice’s with additional shifts at your preference.
The part-time role involves working 8-hour shifts every Monday to Wednesday and averages to 26.8 hours per week, inclusive of a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:10 hospital Sunday rotation. In addition to 1 bank holiday per year at Wanstead Hospital. *As mentioned above, if you wanted to explore a full-time rota we are happy to discuss!*
You will be working alongside a large support team of vets, a senior RVN, students and trainee nurses. The team thrive on their unique dynamic for laughter and pulling together on those challenging days!
Hackney is supported by Wanstead 24-hour Veterinary Hospital, where your patients will receive impeccable OOH and specialist care when needed.
You will also be fully supported by a dedicated regional manager.
Location wise, you are just a 6-minute hop and skip away from London Fields Overground station, which takes you all over North and East London, with connections enabling you to reach further out.

The salary band for this role inclusive of weekend hours is £32,000 to £35,000 FTE depending on prior experience.
