Facilities & Services
Our laboratory offers a rapid and efficient service with fast turnaround of results. Many branches have state-of-the-art in-house equipment for an even faster service. In addition to testing for the disease in an unwell patient, we also offer screening tests before your pet undergoes an anaesthetic to ensure that we identify any previously unknown problems, helping us to ensure the anaesthetic is as safe as possible.
A friendly welcome awaits you at our long-established kennels in Chingford, East London. We offer short and long-term boarding in a friendly and comfortable environment for your pets. Our Chingford veterinary practice is on-site to ensure that your pet’s medical needs will be well cared for.
We offer 15-minute appointments as a standard for all consultations, giving you plenty of time to discuss your pet’s healthcare and ask any questions you may have. We are able to provide a range of services during the consultation and are always on hand to see your pet in an emergency if necessary.
80% of dogs and cats over three years of age suffer some form of dental disease. Thankfully, the majority of dental problems are treatable and most are preventable. Speak to your local team for more information. Our practices are well equipped to perform routine dental procedures, and many of them benefit from dental X-rays to help diagnose and guide treatment.
We offer a referral service for diagnosis and treatment with CT scans, advanced x-rays and ultrasound. These imaging tests can be offered as an outpatient service, or as part of the treatment for patients hospitalised with us. We employ a number of specialists and certificate holders who are able to provide an expert opinion in interpreting these tests.
Pet Insurance Information
People tend to think it’s only older pets that get ill and therefore younger pets don’t need pet insurance but we know from the patients we see each day that that is not the case. In fact, the younger your pet is when you insure them the better as it means you are less likely to have any existing conditions, which may not be covered by the policy and you can then receive more help covering the cost of any future treatment your pet needs.

Professional canine hydrotherapy for healthy exercise and the treatment of a wide range of conditions and injuries. Our hydrotherapy centre is located on the site of our Chingford Kennels and cattery. All sessions are led by fully trained hydrotherapists who ensure that the sessions are safe and fun for your dog.
We actively promote the benefits of neutering your pet. We offer competitive pricing without any compromise on standards, employing the use of modern anaesthetics and monitoring equipment to ensure these procedures are very safe for your pet.
Our nursing team play a central role in the care that we provide you and your pet. In addition to assisting our veterinary surgeons in providing care for your pet, they are also able to answer questions for you directly and provide a range of nurse-led services such as puppy classes, weight management clinics and senior pet care consultations. A microchip is a tiny glass capsule, about the size of a grain of rice, which is filled with electronic components giving a unique 15 digit number. Giving a pet a microchip is a relatively simple procedure.
We offer a pet passport service at all of our practices to enable you to travel to many countries around the world with your pet. There are a number of requirements that must be met before travel, so we recommend getting in touch with your local practice as early as possible if you might need your pet to travel abroad.
To assist your puppy with vital socialisation skills and for behavioural advice, we recommend that you bring your new puppy along to the practice for a complimentary health check so they can meet the team, have a cuddle and see that a trip to the vet is usually a pleasant experience. If we don’t run our own puppy parties, the team will be able to recommend puppy socialisation classes or dog trainers in the local area.

Martin studied in South Africa, qualifying as a vet in 2010 and since then has worked in practices around London. Martin joined the team at Mile End in 2018 and he is part way through studying for a Certificate in Ophthalmology.

Ipek always knew she wanted to work with animals and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2019 having gained her VCA qualification with distinction. Ipek has been a volunteer puppy walker for Guide Dogs. She is the extremely proud owner of a black Labrador Retriever called Jinny.

Ruby joined the Goddard Group in 2013 and qualified as a Veterinary Care Assistant in 2015 and a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2019.
Vickie Horrocks RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Vickie completed her FdSc in Veterinary Nursing at Myerscough College in 2020. This has allowed her to work for a variety of practices around the north of England from hospitals to exotic and orthopaedic referrals. Vickie has a keen interest in surgical nursing and plans on specialising in this field. She also has a keen interest in small furries including rodents and rabbits.
Blair joined the Goddard Group in 2017 and is currently studying for her Veterinary Care Assistant qualification. She hopes to qualify as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in the future. Blair is a keen traveller and the proud owner of Cuzco, a cuddly, cheeky rescue cat.
Chloe originally worked for the Goddard Veterinary Group where she qualified as a Veterinary Care Assistant before taking a slightly different full time career path. She now assists with administration at the Mile End branch on a part time basis. Chloe is a proud owner of two cheeky pugs, Bear and Mylo that she rehomed in 2018.
Caroline has over 20 years experience working in managerial roles within the veterinary and hospitality industries, and she joined the Goddard Group in 2019. Caroline has a passion for developing business and supporting individuals and teams to maximise their own potential. Outside of work creativity is her main focus with stained glass, print making, painting and drawing on the list of many hobbies. Caroline lives in west London and she enjoys the energy of the city but also the opportunity just to relax with her two adorable cats who are credited for her move into the veterinary industry.
