Facilities & Services
Our laboratory offers a rapid and efficient service with fast turnaround of results. Many branches have state-of-the-art in-house equipment for an even faster service. In addition to testing for the disease in an unwell patient, we also offer screening tests before your pet undergoes an anaesthetic to ensure that we identify any previously unknown problems, helping us to ensure the anaesthetic is as safe as possible.
A friendly welcome awaits you at our long-established kennels and cattery in Chingford, East London. We offer short and long-term boarding in a friendly and comfortable environment for your pets. Our Chingford veterinary practice is on-site to ensure that your pet’s medical needs will be well cared for.
We offer 15-minute appointments as a standard for all consultations, giving you plenty of time to discuss your pet’s healthcare and ask any questions you may have. We are able to provide a range of services during the consultation and are always on hand to see your pet in an emergency if necessary.
80% of dogs and cats over three years of age suffer some form of dental disease. Thankfully, the majority of dental problems are treatable and most are preventable. Speak to your local team for more information. Our practices are well equipped to perform routine dental procedures, and many of them benefit from dental X-rays to help diagnose and guide treatment.
We offer a referral service for diagnosis and treatment with CT scans, advanced x-rays and ultrasound. These imaging tests can be offered as an outpatient service, or as part of the treatment for patients hospitalised with us. We employ a number of specialists and certificate holders who are able to provide an expert opinion in interpreting these tests.

We are able to provide four weeks’ Petplan insurance free of charge. Whilst your pet settles in, you can have peace of mind that there’s a pot of money to help cover the cost of unexpected veterinary bills should they become unwell.

Professional canine hydrotherapy for healthy exercise and the treatment of a wide range of conditions and injuries. Our hydrotherapy centre is located on the site of our Chingford Kennels and cattery. All sessions are led by fully trained hydrotherapists who ensure that the sessions are safe and fun for your dog.

We offer competitive pricing without any compromise on standards, employing the use of modern anaesthetics and monitoring equipment to ensure these procedures are very safe for your pet.
Our nursing team play a central role in the care that we provide you and your pet. In addition to assisting our veterinary surgeons in providing care for your pet, they are also able to answer questions for you directly and provide a range of nurse-led services such as puppy classes, weight management clinics and senior pet care consultations. We offer a pet passport service at all of our practices to enable you to travel to many countries around the world with your pet. There are a number of requirements that must be met before travel, so we recommend getting in touch with your local practice as early as possible if you might need your pet to travel abroad.
To assist your puppy with vital socialisation skills and gain behavioural advice, our nurses run puppy parties. This gives you the opportunity to meet other puppy owners sharing useful tips on training and ways to keep your puppy happy and healthy. Upon completion of the session, your puppy will receive their own certificate congratulating them upon their participation.

Louise Groot BVSc GPCertAVP MRCVS [OV]
Louise graduated from Liverpool in 2009 and then spent four years travelling the world as a Veterinary Officer in the British Army. She initially joined Wanstead Hospital and then transferred in 2016. Louise has a special interest in medicine and has gained a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice. As an Official Veterinarian [OV] Louise is authorised to issue pet passports and complete export health certificates. Outside of work, Louise loves cycling.
Catherine Greenough RVN, Head Nurse

Catherine qualified as an RVN in 2015 after a change in career brought about after doing voluntary work with big cats in Africa and South America. After qualifying she worked in India for a charity who help ex-dancing bears and elephants. Catherine has an active interest in conservation and outside of work loves to run, travel and play tag rugby.
Student Veterinary Nurse
Ipek always knew she wanted to work with animals and is currently studying to qualifying as a veterinary nurse having gained her VCA qualification with distinction. Ipek has been a volunteer puppy walker for Guide Dogs. She is the extremely proud owner of a black Labrador Retriever called Jinny.

Chloe is fulfilling a childhood dream of working in the veterinary profession and after gaining her VCA qualification she is now training to be a Veterinary Nurse. Chloe is the proud owner of Peanut and Arthur, two very entertaining little Terriers.
Student Veterinary Nurse
April joined the team at Mile End as a qualified Veterinary Care Assistant and is now studying for her veterinary nursing qualification. In her spare time April loves looking after her cat and guinea pigs and spending time with her family.
Charlie qualified as a nurse in 2001 and progressed into head nursing and practice management. She then made the leap into teaching and lectured to nurses for a college in East Anglia. After many years of lecturing, Charlie moved into the management field and set up a nursing academy as well as running a new graduate vet programme whilst managing a region of veterinary practices for a large corporate practice. Charlie now manages nine Goddard branches and when she isn’t out running she is at home with her pug and two Shih Tzus!
