Welcome to Mandeville Veterinary Hospital
The Mandeville Veterinary Hospital has been offering veterinary care in Northolt for over half a century and became part of the Goddard Group in 1999. Our hospital offers many different services under one roof, from vaccinations and health-checks to consultations, diagnostic tests, and a range of medical and surgical treatments. We are open 24hrs a day, 365 days per year, with experienced vets and nurses always on hand to care for your pet. In addition to our comprehensive general practice services, we are also proud to offer a range of referral services. In 2017 we opened our brand new CT imaging suite, providing clients and referring practices with a state of the art tool used for quickly generating thousands of images which can be of great benefit for the diagnosis of a wide range of diseases. We are one of only a few practices in Greater London to be able to offer this service.
We are dedicated to offering a friendly and compassionate service to our clients and providing the highest quality healthcare for your pet. Our veterinary surgeons are assisted by knowledgeable and experienced staff helping us set the standards for excellence in veterinary care. We also provide complimentary coffee and tea and video information screens. The reception area offers a wide range of pet accessories and high-quality complete pet foods and our reception team will be happy to advise on your pet’s nutritional and health needs.
We have excellent facilities including consultation rooms, dedicated operating suites, separate dog and cat hospitalisation wards, isolation areas where strict barrier nursing techniques are observed. We pride ourselves on our intensive care facilities with fluid infusion pumps, oxygen therapy kennels, heating incubators and advanced monitoring equipment.
All of our hospital veterinary surgeons have their own areas of particular interest and are available to provide further advice and experienced veterinary opinion for referrals in many of the following disciplines:
- Emergency and critical care
- Orthopaedic surgery
- Keyhole surgery
- Soft tissue surgery
- Ophthalmology
- Internal medicine
Facilities & Services
24 hour care
Emergency care is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year at our three flagship hospitals. We have vets on site at all times, supported by qualified nurses to ensure that we are ready to care for your pet whatever time of day they need us. Even if your pet usually visits one of our branch practices, their medical records will be instantly available at our hospital to ensure that we can offer the best continuity of care.
Blood Testing
Our laboratory offers a rapid and efficient service with fast turnaround of results. Many branches have state-of-the-art in-house equipment for an even faster service. In addition to testing for the disease in an unwell patient, we also offer screening tests before your pet undergoes an anaesthetic to ensure that we identify any previously unknown problems, helping us to ensure the anaesthetic is as safe as possible.
Certificate Holders & Advanced Practitioners
Many of our veterinary surgeons have undertaken advanced training and are able to treat more complicated cases. They are happy to receive referrals in areas such as internal medicine, cardiology, orthopaedic, laparoscopic and soft tissue surgery. We invest heavily in the ongoing training of all our staff, meaning you can rest assured that your pet will be in good hands.
Consultations
We offer 15-minute appointments as a standard for all consultations, giving you plenty of time to discuss your pet’s healthcare and ask any questions you may have. We are able to provide a range of services during the consultation and are always on hand to see your pet in an emergency if necessary.
Dentistry
80% of dogs and cats over three years of age suffer some form of dental disease. Thankfully, the majority of dental problems are treatable and most are preventable. Speak to your local team for more information. Our practices are well equipped to perform routine dental procedures, and many of them benefit from dental X-rays to help diagnose and guide treatment.
Diagnostic Imaging
We offer a referral service for diagnosis and treatment with CT scans, advanced x-rays and ultrasound. These imaging tests can be offered as an outpatient service, or as part of the treatment for patients hospitalised with us. We employ a number of specialists and certificate holders who are able to provide an expert opinion in interpreting these tests.
Free pet insurance
We are able to issue four weeks’ Petplan® insurance free of charge. Petplan® is the UK’s favourite pet insurance provider and we are proud to recommend them for your pet. We think it is important that all pets are covered by pet insurance, offering you peace of mind that you will not need to cover the costs of unexpected bills if your pet becomes unwell.
Healthcare Plan – ProActive Pets
Budget monthly and save money on all your pet’s preventative healthcare needs. Our affordable plan allows you to pay a monthly direct debit to spread the cost of your pet’s vaccinations and parasite control products throughout the year. The costs are much less than our full retail price, and the plan offers a number of other benefits on top.
Neutering
We actively promote the benefits of neutering your pet. Speak to a team member about the many health and behavioural advantages. We offer competitive pricing without any compromise on standards, employing the use of modern anaesthetics and monitoring equipment to ensure these procedures are very safe for your pet.
Nurse Clinics
Our nursing team play a central role in the care that we provide you and your pet. In addition to assisting our veterinary surgeons in providing care for your pet, they are also able to answer questions for you directly and provide a range of nurse-led services such as puppy classes, weight management clinics and senior pet care consultations. Speak to your local team for details of classes and clinics available.
Pet Passports
We offer a pet passport service at all of our practices to enable you to travel to many countries around the world with your pet. There are a number of requirements that must be met before travel, so we recommend getting in touch with your local practice as early as possible if you might need your pet to travel abroad.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is one of many complementary therapies that we offer, and if particularly effective to aid in your pet’s mobility post-surgery or injury. We employ qualified physiotherapists who can provide physiotherapy sessions and consultations for you. Please speak to your veterinary surgeon for more information.
Puppy Parties
To assist your puppy with vital socialisation skills and gain behavioural advice, our nurses run puppy parties. This gives you the opportunity to meet other puppy owners sharing useful tips on training and ways to keep your puppy happy and healthy. Upon completion of the session, your puppy will receive their own certificate congratulating them upon their participation.
Please contact your local practice for further information.
Referrals
Specialist referral services are offered at our three hospitals in Wimbledon, Northolt and Wanstead in a range of different areas. Our specialists are recognised as experts in their field and are able to provide advanced treatments for a range of conditions using the latest technology. Referrals must always be made by your first opinion veterinary surgeon who will be able to advise if a specialist referral would be beneficial for your pet.
Vaccinations
Protect your pet against many life-threatening diseases by vaccinating annually. We embrace modern vaccination protocols to ensure that your pet has the protection they need, whilst ensuring we do not vaccinate more often than is necessary. Speak to your local team for all the benefits of vaccination and the range of vaccinations we offer at an affordable price.
X-Ray
All of our branches have access to x-ray facilities for ease and speed of diagnosis. Many of our practices benefit from the latest technology in digital X-rays, which provides exceptionally clear images very quickly, ensuring your pet is under anaesthetic for the shortest possible time.
