How to find us

Our Barkingside practice can be found on Fremantle Road, right next to the Barkingside Methodist Church and close to the Ilford County High School.

Parking and Accessibility

If are visiting our Barkingside practice via car, then parking is available on the road outside the surgery any time, except between 2.00 pm – 3.00 pm. Alternatively, Barkingside Underground Station is just a 15-minute walk, and the No. 128 and 462 busses both make stops on Fremantle Road.

Please note this practice is located within the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ).

What to do in the event of an Emergency

In the event of an emergency, or if your pet is unwell outside the practice hours, we have an emergency vet hospital that can provide urgent assistance. Our veterinary hospitals are open 365 days of the year, 24 hours a day. The closest hospital to our Barkingside practice is the Wanstead Veterinary Hospital. They can be contacted on 020 8989 7744. For your peace of mind, and continuity of care, your pet’s medical history is accessible from all of our branches, at any time.

Myumyun graduated in Bulgaria in 2009 with a Master Degree of Veterinary Medicine.  She has worked as a small animal vet in the UK since 2016 and joined the team at Barkingside in 2021.

Priyam graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2012 and began working for the Goddard Group in 2018 as a locum veterinary surgeon before joining the team at Barking in 2019.  Priyam enjoys all aspects of her role but is particularly interested in internal medicine and is currently working towards a certificate in feline medicine.  In her spare time, Priyam enjoys travelling, hiking, baking, knitting and spending time with her family and rescue cat Elmo.

Prior to nursing Maxine was a volunteer worker at the Hopefield Animal Sanctuary but joined the Goddard Veterinary Group in February 2004 after when she qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. With her long service, she is a well-known face to clients and pets alike. Maxine enjoys horse riding and gardening in her spare time. She enjoys the company of a dog, two cats, two iguanas and two tortoises.

Philippa joined the Goddard Group in 1999 and has seen it develop and grow over the years. Originally from a veterinary equine practice, Philippa now manages ten branches in the East London area. Philippa achieved her management certificate Cert B&PS in 1999 and her Certificate Veterinary Practice Management CVPM in 2013. Philippa lives with her husband, son and her rescue cats Duncan and Sydney. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering projects, was an Olympic Games Maker in London 2012 and helps out at Saturday Park Runs. Philippa has a passion for photography and participates in many charity runs (as long as there is a medal at the end!).
