We're looking for an experienced Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse who leads with confidence, kindness and a calm head, even when the day takes an unexpected turn.

You'll also mentor our two Student Veterinary Nurses, helping them develop their skills and confidence, while working closely alongside our sole-charge Veterinary Surgeon to ensure the practice continues to thrive.
Our Fulham practice has built an incredibly loyal and well-bonded client base, so we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys building lasting relationships with clients while delivering the exceptional patient care we're proud to provide.
Fully equipped with two consulting rooms, a spacious prep and theatre area, a comprehensive in-house laboratory and a dedicated colleague rest area for those all-important lunch breaks. We've also recently invested in the practice, giving our team even better facilities to work in every day.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, with a 1 in 4 Saturday rotation at the branch and a 1 in 10 Saturday rotation at our Stone Lion Hospital in Wimbledon. You'll also work one bank holiday each year at Stone Lion. There are no on-call requirements.
As our Senior RVN, you'll be supported by our 24-hour Stone Lion Hospital for complex referrals and out-of-hours care, as well as our Regional Head Vet, Julie, whose clinical support and guidance are invaluable to the team.
As senior branch RVN some of your duties will include:
- Responsible for the nursing team, ensuring the provision of a high quality and continually improving standards of nursing care.
- Assist the veterinary surgeon in theatre and during consultations, as and when required.
- Ensure the provision of a high quality and continually improving standard of nursing care, comfort and welfare of all pets in our care.
- Utilise Schedule 3 skills, as directed.
- Ensure all diagnostic, surgical and medical equipment and instruments are serviced as required, maintained well and in full working order.
- Ensure that a weekly audit of Controlled Drugs is carried out in accordance with the prescribed protocol.
- Responsible for staff working on reception, ensuring a high and improving standard of client care by means of excellent communication and service at all times.
- Manage the daily operation of the reception area and ensure the friendly and efficient handling of clients and their pets, in person, by email and over the telephone.
- Support student nurses as a clinical supervisor
You will be fully supported by our 24-hour Stone Lion Hospital in Wimbledon for any complex cases you may need to refer, or for any of your patients who require OOH care.
The practice location is ideal, within a 7-minute walk from Fulham Broadway station which is on the District Line, and takes you as far west as Ealing, through East London and over to Essex.

The salary band for this role inclusive of weekend rotation is £35,000 to £39,000 (FTE) depending on experience and allowing room for growth within the role.
