Welcome to Wanstead! Our impressive 24-hour site in East London has THE PERFECT opportunity for an experienced RVN who loves all things hospital and wants to join a larger growing team.




About your new role!




This full-time (40 hours per week) RVN position would be IDEAL for an experienced RVN who already has a couple of years under their belt and thrives in all departments within a hospital setting, and wants to opportunity to work between the various departments in the hospital including theatre, ward, consults and ECC.





Do not be concerned if you feel you excel in one department as oppose to another, if there are any gaps in training we will be happy to support you, whether that be in ward or consult nursing, or more! If in the future you wished to develop your skills to step into a senior role, we also provide leadership training.




Wanstead not only has its own first opinion client base but also sees the internal referral cases from the surrounding branches in East, North and Central London, giving you a plethora of diverse cases a hospital RVN could dream of.




There is fantastic diagnostic support at Wanstead, with a CT scanner, a commercial laboratory, a strong medical team, and experienced surgeons routinely conducting advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery on site.





You will be working alongside a large team consisting of approximately 25 vets, 27 RVNs, 14 SVNs, 7 VCAs and a large front of house team who are integral in maintaining excellent client care.




Your rota will include a 1:4 weekend rotation with TOIL and up to 3 bank holidays per year. You will be included in the last resort on-call rotation, but with 2 RVN’s and 1 VCA on shift each night this is very much last resort!






Wanstead itself is on the outskirts of urban Essex but is close enough to rural life for that countryside relief. Transport links into London do not get better than a short walk to a Central Line tube station!


Please be aware there is no on-site parking available and public transport is advised.

Our RVN salary band is £32,000 to £35,000 depending on prior experience and allowing room for growth within the role.
