Veterinary Nurse – Kennington (South London)

Our lovely RVN who trained with us, is staying with Goddard’s but is moving closer to home which opens up a new and exciting opportunity for a new RVN to join the Kennington nursing team and support our two permanent vets in this small, friendly, and successful clinic.

Our Kennington practice is located in a vibrant and popular area in a little row of attractive shops and cafes, just a short walk from both Oval and Vauxhall tube stations. You’ll be working alongside an experienced and compassionate team who have a passion for building strong bonds with their growing number of clients. Anna and Sylvia our fantastic vets have a strong local reputation and are both passionate about animal welfare. The team are often involved with charity cases and Anna was one of the earliest veterinary volunteers with Street Vet. Our wonderful vets are supported by a very capable nursing team in Crystal our senior RVN and Imogen our SVN, who is soon to qualify.

This is an ideal role for a newly qualified nurse or someone with some experience to develop their skill set. The role is full time with 1:3 Saturdays, no nights or on call as this service is provided by our Tier 3 Hospital in Wimbledon.  There is also some hospital work to develop your skills in with ECC work with a supportive and experienced hospital nursing team, as we’d love you to join the hospital weekend daytime rota, 5-6 times a year.

Excellent salary for the right candidate! We offer an excellent benefits package including increasing holiday allowance based on length of service, enrolment on to our Simply Health Cashback Plan which provides cash back / refunds on many routine medical costs such as dental care, physiotherapy, optician, chiropractor fees etc., plus generous shopping and leisure discounts, fully funded CPD and paid for BVNA and RCVS registration fees.

Goddard Veterinary Group is a family run practice and was started in 1952 by Arthur Goddard. His son Philip took over the reins in the late 90’s and remains the practice principal. We are now the largest family-run veterinary practice in the UK and have 44 branches, 3 hospitals, our own nursing college, kennels, cattery and a hydrotherapy centre. We have a great reputation for looking after our staff; over 20% of our team have been with us 10 years or more and please take a few minutes to look at as our numerous recent 4 and 5-star reviews on Indeed!
