We are looking for a client-focused and forward-looking experienced receptionist to join our experienced front of house team based at Wanstead Veterinary Hospital. The role involves a high level of face-to-face contact with our clients, so you must have the confidence, empathy, and experience to provide the standard of care and the personal touch we expect for our clients. The successful candidate will have plenty of client care experience in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of 1-year veterinary reception experience is preferred. We want to ensure that whilst our clinical team support the patients’ needs that we are also able to offer a warm and friendly welcome to clients, have effective communications internally within the team that are timely and efficient, and organisation of our diary so that we can provide the best advice and accurate information to our clients.
For this full time role of 40 hours a week, we are ideally seeking a candidate with previous reception responsibilities within a veterinary or healthcare setting to join our team. Wanstead offers a beautiful high street with a range of pubs, restaurants, and shops all within a short walking distance of the practice. Westfield, Stratford, and Central London are easily accessible via the Central Line.
If you are a candidate who thrives in being in a front of house role, meeting and assisting clients with their appointments, answering pet health queries, and love being super organised with administration work, and enjoy being the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, this could be the role for you.
Responsibilities over time will grow to include diary management, taking payments, processing insurance claims, registering new clients, handling client queries, health care plan administration and supporting our vets and nurses with general administration tasks.
You would need to be computer literate although training will be given, but more importantly we are looking for a friendly, confident, empathetic individual who will be proud to make the reception area, their area of responsibility and for an individual with a passion for animal welfare and who loves being a pivotal part of a vibrant and friendly team.
