We are looking for a second vet to join us at our small, friendly, and very successful clinic in Walthamstow. The practice is located in the heart of Walthamstow Village and has been treating local pets for over 30 years. We are a welcoming practice and pride ourselves on being part of the local village community providing a warm, caring and compassionate healthcare service for all pets and their owners. We have a very happy working environment, as well as wonderful, bonded clients. We pride ourselves on the level of service we offer and always work to the highest standards. The clinic has undergone a refurbishment last year and we have all the usual toys to work your cases up to a high standard, including dental x-ray. The practice has a busy caseload and would be able to support study towards a certificate. The full-time rota is a 4-day week 1:4 Saturdays but we are happy to discuss other combinations. There is no overnight work, but we would like you to support our hospital colleagues at our RCVS accredited tier 3 hospital in Wanstead on a 1:16 Sunday day- time only rota. The Wanstead Hospital has great 24 -hr facilities including CT, an excellent ultrasound, scopes, laparoscopic equipment, and an array of specialists and provides a good environment to develop your ECC skills.
Our ideal candidate would be confident in GP practice, is happy with routine surgeries, and loves working as part of a small team.
The salary is in the region of £45-55k per annum for a full-time role and dependent on experience and in addition, we offer up to a generous CPD allowance plus up to 5 CPD days per year (benefits pro-rata for part-time roles). We see CPD as an investment in the individual, as well as for the practice, and are keen to support study for certificate qualifications.
