VA135 – Veterinary Nurse – Highbury

Exciting new opportunity for 2022. We are seeking an RVN, to join our team and support our two vets in this small, friendly, practice in Highbury, North London which is an ISFM accredited Cat Friendly Clinic.  This role is an ideal next career step for an RVN looking to take on their first senior role (fully supported by CPD), looking after a small team, and coaching an experienced SVN, or for an existing Senior RVN looking for a new role with a good work-life balance.

We are positioned in an attractive area near Islington adjacent to Canonbury overground station. You’ll be working alongside an experienced and compassionate team who have a passion for building strong bonds with their clients in a London ‘village’ environment. Next year is going to see further financial investment into our branch and you would be involved right from the start with our exciting plans.

The role is an average of 33 hours per week and a day off every Wednesday. weekend cover is 1:4 Saturday afternoons only, with no nights or on-call as this service is provided by our Wanstead Hospital. If you enjoy establishing strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and patients and have an enthusiasm for first opinion care and providing great advice to clients who see us as trusted advisers, this is the role for you. If you believe that life is better with pets, then our practice culture and the Highbury branch could be just right for you. Training and career progression is important to us, so we are looking for someone happy to be a clinical coach to support junior team members in their development whilst being able to develop your own skillset at the same time. Full training will be provided if you have no prior coaching experience.

Our salary range is £30,000 to £33,000 per annum pro rata depending on experience. In addition, we offer paid CPD- with 2 full or 3 -part days CPD allowance. We see CPD as an investment in the individual as well as for the practice, and in some roles, we can support study for nursing certificate qualifications.
