VA133 – Head Veterinary Nurse – Mandeville

We are seeking an experienced Head Veterinary Nurse to join our team and support our vets and nursing colleagues in our state of the art Mandeville Veterinary Hospital in Northolt.  ​You will be working closely with the Hospital Manager and Head Vet to ensure the efficient management of the caseload and maintain the high standard of care we offer our clients and their pets.  The hospital has dedicated dog and cat waiting areas, separate dog, cat and isolation wards, a dental suite, two theatres, x-ray, imaging and CT.  We provide services from first opinion through to orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, enhanced imaging as well as ophthalmology services.  The successful candidate will have a range of nursing experience allowing them to develop our fantastic nursing team and be well organised and passionate about the standard of care we provide.  This is a full-time role with some on-call responsibilities on evenings and on a one in four weekends shared rota.  The salary for this role is £36,000 to £40,000 per annum depending on experience.

The Head Veterinary Nurse role offers a fully supported opportunity to advance existing line management or senior nurse skills and would suit an experienced RVN with ECC experience and excellent clinical standards. The successful candidate will be capable of mature decision making, whilst working in an ever-changing environment and will share our philosophy of practising to the highest clinical standards and providing great client care. Previous hospital or referral centre and Clinical Coach experience would be ideal.

The role requires an exceptional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to motivate a large highly skilled team of RVNs, SVNs, VNAs and receptionists.  Line Management experience would be an advantage.
